In the words of Dr. Santos ...
Then… why aren’t we talking about the hard stuff, the complications and the real-life events?
Healthcare professionals seek out extensive training to serve their pregnancy and pediatric patients to provide the most up-to-date-care, but often lack the preparation, understanding and resources needed to support patients and families facing unexpected diagnoses and losses.
By understanding grief, mourning, and bereavement—both your own and that of your patients/clients—you can protect your own emotions while effectively supporting your patients during their times of greatest need.
Learn ‘what to say’ AND ‘what not to say’
Learn ‘what to do’ AND ‘when to do’ or ‘not to do’
Learn how to create the necessary boundaries when things are hard AND how to care for yourself in these moments
Learn how to train your staff to best support you and your patient/client base during challenging times
Over a thousand chiropractors have studied with us and they all agree...
Learn to address and respond to patients/clients with empathy and compassion.
Dr. Tamara MacIntyre and Dr. Jen Santos address the tender situations that come up in practice related to complicated diagnosis and unexpected illness or death with directness, compassion offering strategies and resources to support you and your patients/clients.
